Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Applies to logoanalyst.com and the LogoAnalyst PowerPoint add-in
1. What LogoAnalyst Does
LogoAnalyst is a web tool and PowerPoint add-in that lets you search for company logos, arrange them on a slide, and download or insert the result.
2. Information We Collect
Search queries. When you type a company name into the search bar, that text is sent to our database to retrieve matching logos. We may store search query text and result counts to improve logo coverage and search quality, but we do not attach a user account, name, email address, or presentation content to those records.
Anonymous download counts. When you download a slide or insert logos into PowerPoint, we increment a global counter (number of downloads, number of logos). No user identifier is attached — we record only the aggregate count.
Logo submissions. If you use the "Add logo" feature to submit a logo that isn't in our database, we store the company name, domain (optional), and the image you provide. This data is retained for review and potential addition to the logo library. We do not store your IP address or any other identifying information alongside submissions.
Feedback. If you send feedback, we store the message you submit so we can review bugs, suggestions, or support requests. Do not include sensitive information in feedback messages.
PowerPoint add-in beta signup. If you choose to join the beta, we store the email address you provide, your optional name, and the web app's random browser identifier so we can manage beta access and related updates.
Browser storage. Your current layout may be saved in your browser's sessionStorage so it survives a page refresh. The web app can also save recent logos, saved layouts, announcement preferences, and a random browser identifier in localStorage so those preferences remain available on the same device. This browser storage stays on your device unless you choose to submit or export content, including joining the PowerPoint add-in beta.
We do not require names, email addresses, accounts, device fingerprints, or presentation content to use LogoAnalyst.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
LogoAnalyst does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Browser storage is used only for product functionality such as current layouts, recent logos, saved layouts, announcement state, and device-local preferences.
4. Third-Party Services
LogoAnalyst relies on third-party infrastructure and data providers to function. Your use of LogoAnalyst means your requests pass through these categories of service:
- Cloud infrastructure — logo images, the logo database, and user submissions are stored and served via cloud hosting and CDN providers.
- Logo data providers — when you use the "Add logo" feature, the company name or domain you enter is sent to one or more third-party logo APIs to retrieve a suggested image. These requests are proxied through our own API — your IP address is not forwarded to logo providers.
- Icon search — when you use Icons mode, your search query is sent to a third-party icon API to retrieve results.
- Web fonts — display fonts are loaded from Google Fonts on the web app.
5. The PowerPoint Add-in
The LogoAnalyst PowerPoint add-in (distributed via the Office Add-ins manifest) operates under the same privacy practices as the web app above. Specifically:
- The add-in does not read the content of your PowerPoint presentation. It only inserts image shapes when you explicitly click "Insert."
- The add-in does not transmit any slide content, document metadata, or presentation data to external servers.
- The only outbound network calls are to the same services listed above (logo search, icon search, image proxy), triggered by your explicit actions in the task pane.
- The add-in can store a recent-logo list in browser
localStorageon the same device.
The add-in is loaded from addin.logoanalyst.com and makes API calls to api.logoanalyst.com.
6. Data Retention
Logo submissions (company name, domain, image) are retained until reviewed. Approved logos are moved to the public logo library; rejected submissions are deleted. We do not retain any other user-generated data.
7. Children's Privacy
LogoAnalyst is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of LogoAnalyst after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
